At Prootzos Online we take care to upgrade our servers, so that we always provide the best hosting services for hosting websites and applications. Thus, we are pleased to announce the use of HTTP/3 and QUIC on our servers. Simply put, our web hosting, wordpress hosting and nginx hosting services have been made even faster using HTTP/3 protocol and QUIC connections.
What is QUIC?
QUIC (Quick UDP Internet Connections), is a general-purpose transport layer protocol designed to replace the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) by offering flexibility, built-in security and fewer performance issues. Originally developed by Google, QUIC uses the User Data Protocol (UDP) as a low-level transport mechanism to move packets between client and server. Also, QUIC incorporates transport layer security (TLS) as an integral component, not as an additional layer like HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2.
What is the HTTP/3?
HTTP/3, based on QUIC, is the third major version of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and was adopted as an IETF standard in 2022. QUIC+HTTP/3 was created to resolve the inherent limitations of TCP that limit performance and user experience.
How do I use QUIC & HTTP/3 in my services?
You do not need to take any action to use QUIC & HTTP/3 in your services. It is installed and already used in web hosting, WordPress hosting, NGINX hosting and managed servers using NGINX as a web or proxy server.
